How It Works

The Tapir Tinnitus Treatment uses a phase-shift technique based on recent research in tinnitus management. Here's a brief overview of how it works:

  1. The treatment delivers a pure sine wave at your specific tinnitus frequency through headphones.
  2. Every 30 seconds, the sine wave is shifted by 6 degrees out of phase.
  3. This process continues for 30 minutes, creating a total of 60 phase shifts per session.
  4. The phase-shifting is theorized to interfere with the neural signals perceived as tinnitus in the auditory cortex.
  5. Over time, this may help reduce the perception of tinnitus and its associated distress.
